Pumpkin Fest Volunteer Information Session

If you’ve thought about volunteering for Pumpkin Fest or are new to the area and want to learn more before committing, Friends of Silvermont will hold two brief public Pumpkin Fest volunteer information sessions at Silvermont Mansion, 364 E. Main St., Brevard.  The first meeting is at 1 pm Friday, August 25, and the second meeting is at 7 pm Monday, August 28.  Both meetings will last about a half hour with time for questions afterwards.  Both set-up and event roles will be covered.  No need to RSVP, just come to the session that best fits your schedule.

We have volunteer positions for those who are hale and hearty, as well as for those with limited mobility.   You can volunteer one time or for multiple slots, whichever fits your schedule.  Examples of event night volunteer positions include helping with parking, hosting museum tours, handing out prizes at the end of the White Squirrel Scavenger Hunt, or walking the trail to check on our guests and trail actors, but there are many other jobs that need volunteers.  We also need volunteers for behind-the-scenes work in setup and takedown of the displays.
