Friends of Silvermont gratefully celebrates the life and accomplishments of Eugene “Gene” Baker, a long-time Silvermont benefactor. The Transylvania Times recently published his obituary, which describes Gene’s many contributions to the community.

If you’ve walked the trail around Silvermont, you have Gene and Sally Baker to thank for donating it in memory of their late son. Gene also managed restoration projects on the mansion, and he and Sally have supported Friends of Silvermont for many years through generous financial contributions.

We’ll miss you Gene, one of Silvermont’s truest friends.
