April showers bring May flowers and WEEDS, lots and lots of weeds. We will be having our monthly deadfall and clean-up day this Saturday, May 3, at Silvermont. Since it is getting warmer and days are longer, we will start working at 9 am starting with this work day until roughly September. As usual, we will work for about two hours.

Some of our Friends of Silvermont volunteers have started working on weeding the large planting bed along Main Street.  We will pick up from their excellent progress around the entrance and continue along that bed.  Depending on how many people we have, we may work on some of the smaller beds as well.  

If weeding is not your favorite thing to do, we also want to continue work on our nature trail. We plan to clear some of the weeds and unwanted plants around the trail and to begin to define the entrances to the trail from the paved path.
